Gently introducing your little one to the water, to begin their learn to swim journey. Parents often think that child swimming is only playing in water? At Rainbow Swim, little one’s learn vital water safety and life saving skills along with the foundations of buoyancy and movement right from the very start. There are so many benefits of learning to swim from an early age and children who swim can potentially hit developmental milestones sooner!
Rainbow Swim Parent & Child classes are a valuable investment that not only enables your little one to learn an essential life skill incorporating fun and games, but also giving parents/carers an opportunity to socialise and build peer support in those special early weeks.
Preschool

Being 3 is the age to be! Our preschool swimming classes give little people big choices!
There is so much going on in preschool development, we understand that ‘one size doesn’t fit all!’ Every child is unique and has the right to shine brightly in their own colours! For this reason we offer two types of Preschool lessons for age 2.5 – 5 years; with parent or independent.
Through 'guided discovery' learning and exploratory play, children are better engaged and thrive by making learning links with things that they already know! Who knew that through swimming we can go on a bear hunt, bake a cake or have tea with a Gruffalo?!
SEN lessons

Every child has the right to learn and thrive. SEN swimming classes incorporate a holistic, flexible learning approach to help support the additional needs of children by breaking down barriers to learning and setting achievable goals specific to individuals. At Rainbow Swim we understand that the pool is a very sensory experience. Our approach is very gentle, with focus on sensory exploration. Classes are available with and without a parent/carer. 'Group/Private 1:1 lessons are available.

Home Ed swimming lessons focus on childrens strengths and interests; working closely with families to achieve their learning goals. Group block bookings welcome. Private/1:1 lessons also available.

With focus on what individuals can do; Rainbow Swim aims to make learning to swim a safe space. Every one is unique and so is every 1:1 lesson. Giving learners control back in what may otherwise be a daunting experience; 1:1 lessons are tailored exactly to meet individual needs from non swimmer to triathlete! The first step is reaching out; the next step is for us to make you feel confident that you will be actively listened to, supported and be at the centre of your learn to swim journey!
